Peter is Head of Research and Managing Director for National Australia Bank in Sydney. Peter has been in this role for the past decade and his team has specialist researchers around the world covering macroeconomics, credit markets, foreign exchange, and fixed interest markets. Prior to this role, Peter was Head of Market Economics at the Bank of New Zealand and prior to that worked as an Economist with the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. Peter’s own research work is focussed on macroeconomics, the financial and banking system, and fixed interest markets.
Peter is a visiting fellow at Macquarie University where he teaches on the Masters of Applied Finance Programme. Peter has a Master Degree in Economics from the University of London and a Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree from Lincoln University in New Zealand.
