Rob Henderson 

Chief Economist 
Rob Henderson is Chief Economist for Wholesale Banking, where he advises the Bank’s dealing rooms and business clients on the economy and financial markets.  Representing Wholesale Banking, Rob also makes regular comments on TV, radio and the print media on financial and economic issues. 

Rob has a Masters Degree in Economics from the ANU and has 34 years experience as a professional economist with the Australian Government and the private sector.   

Towards the end of his time working with the Australian Government, Rob worked for the Prime Minister’s Department, providing policy advice to the then Prime Minister, Bob Hawke. 

He is the immediate past Chairman and an Honorary Life Member of the Australian Business Economists association.
